The All Hallows Door

Much of the heart, shall we say, of All Hallows Eve or Halloween, comes from the celtic harvest festival called Samhain (sow-in). During the festival the barrier between the world inhabited by what we are pleased to regard as supernatural, and this one. The barrier thins at the will of an ancient imperative, and becomes a vast kind of door allowing the Others to visit us, sometimes with mischievous or even deadly intent. You may very well know all this.

But consider another fact...

The door allows passage both ways.
